top award for Andy sturgeon team member
We’re proud and thrilled that Jamie Baker, one of our landscape architects and rising star within our team, has been named one of Pro Landscaper’s 30 under 30 this year. These awards shine a light on young people in the industry, recognising their dedication and talent. And we feel that Jamie is a very deserving winner.
Jamie joined us in 2019 after gaining a first in Landscape Architecture from the University of Gloucester. He took time out to pursue a masters in 2022 and then returned to the company.
He now works on our high profile projects including St Johns Wood Square and 1 Golden Lane.
Jamie is is passionate about engaging with the wider consultant and client teams and communicating ideas in a way that allows people to fully visualise and understand our design processes and ideas.
Jamie says of working here, “It is a welcoming environment but with the encouragement to step outside the comfort zone. The diversity of the projects lends itself to allow everyday being different and the exploration of new challenges.”
Andy Sturgeon says, “Jamie first came to us on a ‘year out’ but he hit the ground running and it was clear from the outset that he had a bright future. We persuaded him to stay for two years before he returned to education studying for a masters in Sheffield and then we were lucky enough to lure him back into a full time position in the studio. He continues to go from strength to strength and this latest accolade comes as no surprise.”
We look forward to Jamie developing further and continuing to nurture his career with Andy Sturgeon Design.
