planting at landmark City of London development underway
The gardens on the terraces at 21 Moorfields are taking shape.
Andy Sturgeon Design are working with Wilkinson Eyre architects and are responsible for the design of the gardens on six private terraces of the landmark development. Along with the walkways, the public realm and raised walkways and bridges, the total area amounts to 0.85 hectares.
The planters and paving are in place and key larger plants have been craned into position. We are now regularly on site to oversee the garden construction and planting as work continues apace.
Planting on the terraces has been chosen to thrive in the conditions typical of a city roof terrace and are drought and wind tolerant. The design has been carefully conceived to highlight the spectacular skyline views of the City of London.
The 17 storey building sits above Moorgate Underground station and will be the Headquarters of Deutsche Bank.
