planning permission granted for prestigious london site

Andy Sturgeon Design is pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for our design to transform Hans Crescent, behind the world-famous Harrods and retailer Olayan Group. Our plan aims to bring out the full potential of this public street realm, to reflect its prestigious Knightsbridge setting and historic origins.

The current pedestrianized area is filled with a mixture of ad hoc seating and is awkward and uninviting walkway. Our design will make the street a more atmospheric and intimate space through the creation of carefully positioned generous raised planters including with integrated seating for all.

These will provide welcome spots to sit under the shade of trees and next to green spaces, where people can meet, socialize and relax. But the arrangement of the planters has been carefully considered to alleviate the overcrowding and ease the way for pedestrians to pass through or head for the shop doorways through a pleasant harmonious green space.
