Construction starts on Lillie Square

construction starts on lillie square

Construction has started on phase one of Lillie Square and includes Bolander Grove, Columbia Gardens and One Lillie Square. The first residents are expected to move in during the summer of 2016.

The development features distinctive contemporary architecture by PDP London. Rich in variety, it draws from the heritage of West London, referencing and reinterpreting traditional garden squares, mansion blocks and townhouses with generous proportions and the finest materials.

Lillie Square will offer ‘contemporary garden-square living’ through a series of communal and private gardens. Columbia Gardens consists of exuberant planting, both playful and colourful. Hardy perennial plants informally grouped are countered by geometric stone seat circles, linked by a serpentine gravel path. The intensity of planting is balanced by a series of open circular lawns.

A bespoke, ASD designed water feature will grace the central plaza outside One Lillie Square – a polished granite ellipse with mirror-pool surface that forms a plinth to an exciting, contemporary piece of public art.

Andy Sturgeon Design are now working on developing plans for next phases of the scheme including an Affordable Housing block and a series of London Townhouse gardens.
