Andy Sturgeon named in UK’s top 50 Landscaping influencers.
Andy has been selected by industry professionals in the top 50 influencers in the UK Landscaping Industry.
Industry professionals were asked by ProLandscaper Magazine to name the top three influences in the industry and the list has been narrowed to the 50 names with the most nominations. This will be further narrowed down by a public vote to the top 25 to be announced later in 2022. Andy was also named in the top 25 in the last vote which took place in 2017.
MAJESTIC TREES ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
Andy’s influence is marked by his invitation to speak at this year’s annual Symposium at Majestic Trees where key players in the industry will discuss the key issues facing the industry including plant health, importation of plants and future careers in horticulture. With many pests and diseases threatening our native species, these are essential talking points as the future of the industry hinges on how these challenges are addressed.
TALK AT HERONSWOOD AND BELLEVUE BOTANICAL GARDEN
And Andy continues to be in demand overseas, with forthcoming talks in the USA and Sweden. This month, Andy has been invited to speak at the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society and Heronswood annual symposium in Seattle.
Heronswood garden was established in 1987 and contains many plant varieties from around the world. The 53 acre Bellevue Botanical Garden is divided into many smaller gardens each with their own individual feeling and range on plants.
Andy will be talking about the Making of the Modern Garden using examples of gardens he has designed in the past.
Andy says – “The Pacific Northwest is one of the best gardening gardening climates in the world and one of the best gardening communities and I can’t wait to be back.”
The event is a fundraiser for the two prestigious gardens and takes place this September
