Jiwar Al Qasr lies on the Abu Dhabi coastline with far reaching views out over the Persian Gulf. Sheik Zayed’s second home sits at the heart of this site, and was a place he would visit to escape city life and return to the sea. The public realm is characterised through a series of significant events within the masterplan – the palace, gardens, Mosque, and the natural landscape. These key moments were used to take users on a journey from seascape to landscape and beyond.
The landscape was developed in line with the Abu Dhabi Public Realm Design Manual and the Abu Dhabi Urban Street Design Manual to comply with local municipal standards.
