This complex podium landscape for a luxury apartment building in Hong Kong featuring a communal garden, penthouse terraces and rooftop pools was completed in 2016.
The brief was to create a very modern space which takes influence from traditional European gardens. A series of rooms were created which are enclosed with planting, clipped trees, and feature walls. The spaces were arranged to create areas for a variety of uses including play, relaxing and eating. The client is very interested in modern sculpture and a number of pieces have been commissioned from distinguished British artists and placed within the gardens. The garden is in a unique setting as it has a dramatic backdrop of the woods beyond, making it a very exclusive open green space in down town Hong Kong.
