lost river park

earl's court, london

client: capital & counties properties plc (capco)

architects: farrels & kohn pedersen fox associates.

size: 3 hectares

The lost river park will be Central London’s largest new public park since the Olympics. It focuses on wellbeing, sport and play, hosting a range of contrasting and complimentary places.

Drawing on a rich history of market gardens and farms within Earls Court, the park consists of meandering hedges connected to large swathes of lawns, with dining in the park. Incidental play and informal planting is bisected with formal squares and pocket parks. The park will form a hive of activity and an oasis for relaxation benefitting the local community and London as a whole.
