These gardens are located within the building and enclosed on all sides but visible from the upper floors and open to the roof. We designed them to be viewed from three angles: alongside, from within and from above.
The courtyards create an exotic woodland atmosphere within the gardens with predominantly foliage plants to give contrasting greens, leaf textures and shapes. The gardens are designed as a foil to the surrounding architecture while the sculptures within the planting are salvaged pieces of machinery from when Battersea Power Station was a working power plant.
