This country estate had long since ceased to make the best of its surrounding landscape after years of neglect and unplanned makeshift additions. Working with the existing landscape, we looked for ways in which to create a setting that sits comfortably within its natural surroundings. This involved a management plan that would rejuvenate trees and shrubs and return them to their former glory while adding planting. From the pool terrace and lawns the design style becomes increasingly less formal and starts the journey into the wider landscape through perennial meadows and then further beyond to the boundary planting. The remaining landscape was restored to provide species rich grasslands and grazing.
